KIBI, October 2013 — Being on the other side of the camera, peering through the glass, seeing the world from another perspective is something of a treasure for me - I am always amazed by the faces and emotions one can see, many times by accident, in the whirlwind of activity, as a single face is highlighted among the rest. These faces, unbeknownst to the owner, are filled with a love and admiration that lights the space, and while I am sure that they are aware of their own excitement and anticipation upon seeing their teacher, as Karmapa walks among them, these precious moments of simple joy can overtake them, and we catch a glimmer of completely exposed happiness that truly makes my heart sing.
