This brilliant winter day is full of color, warm sunshine and beautiful puffy clouds playfully dotting the crystal clear blue sky here in Andalusia.
Sitting along the coast the Stupa gazes out into the ocean, looking directly to the rocky African mountainous coast just a few miles across the water. Seated like on a throne, it is a sight to behold, and one of my favorite places on earth. Today is my last day here before I ship off tomorrow for Renchen Ulm, so how lucky am I to have such a magnificent sendoff - a bittersweet goodbye as my time here is always so wonderful, but always too short, no matter how long I am here. My heart belongs here, I have always felt at peace here, this place just calls my name in the wind, a resounding reminder of pure happiness and joy - it is home.
So, tomorrow I will be traveling to Germany for the unveiling of Shamar Rinpoche’s stupa in Bodhi Path, Renchen-Ulm, an extremely special and historic event for which I am so happy to be present for. To be the first of several stupas for Rinpoche, I couldn’t imagine not being there. So for now, I bid Spain goodbye, but I know that I will be back as soon as possible. A fond goodbye to the clouds, to the sky, and to the amazing stupa that still gleams like fire. Goodbye to my family here; to Maggie Lehnert Kossowski, Anna Kossowski and Galu Kossowski, you are the reason why this place always feels like home. Your generosity and kindness will travel with me, and will always be in my heart. Thank you Benalmadena, for everything, I will miss you. I always do.
