What an incredible event! I still cannot believe what we have all been through this week, it was like a dream.

Copenhagen - The Best For Last

For the final day, Rinpoche gave the Empowerment of Amithaba and the weather was totally wild! Moments of heavy rain followed by bright sun, flashes of thunder, fierce dark clouds then blue sky again - it was completely outrageous. Through it all everyone just sat there meditating, getting wet, a sea of umbrellas and rain jackets coming on and off, but the shining faces never changed. I was really touched, such devotion in this great sea of friends that came across the world to celebrate this momentous, triumphant and utmost historic event. Dear Ole and Rinpoche, what more can I say than what I have already expounded this week? You are so powerful together, so inspiring, and the respect and love you share and show to us all is a revelation. You hold hands, you laugh and cheer with us. We connect us all. Rinpoche, you always beam like a crystal ray of light from the sun. You are tremendously kind, and you bring out the best in everyone. Ole, you do what you do best; guiding tens of thousands of people to the Dharma, building great monuments of inspiration for the world, and greeting each and every person you see, in every moment of your life, with your whole and limitless heart. I wish to thank you both, with all that I am, for all you have given us. Today marks the end of this event, but the beginning of another chapter. For in Copenhagen the Stupa is complete, and it will never be the same here again.

Thank you all so much for joining us, for sharing in the joy and wonder that this has been for everyone. Thank you for being a part of this Dharma family, and for being a part of my life as well. I couldn’t do it without your support and love. Farewell from Copenhagen my friends!
