Jigme Rinpoche is absolutely incredible. He is a landmark of buddhism in the west, an amazing teacher, a strong leader, and the most understated and remarkably genuine man I have ever known.

Europe Center - Lama Jigme & The Karmapas

He is kind beyond words. He is soft, gentle and caring in a way that one couldn’t imagine is even possible. When he speaks he giggles with glee, and his eyes twinkles like stars. While regaling us all with stories of the 16th Karmapa, or giving the empowerment of 15th Karmapa to thousands he was, as always, irrevocably unfazed. He is a rock, and a more humble man you will not find. He has been the cornerstone of my work since I began this wild ride a few years ago. He was the first to give me a chance, and the first to trust me. He asked me to document his brother, Shamar Rinpoche’s cremation, and from that my work, and my life really began. All that I do now comes from there, and all that I do starts with him. I owe him everything, and I could never thank him enough.
