Where endless dazzling skies meet immense powerful mountains that continue farther than I can hope to see, stretching out to the distant horizon like a dream world of color and space. The air is pure and clean, the wind blowing casually in the wide open spaces creating such a sense of wonder and limitlessness in my heart, for after years of waiting, wanting and planning I am finally here. Despite my lack of sleep and going non-stop yet again for days on end, I am quite awake - the royal and warm welcome of the people here, the monastery we've all come to celebrate and inaugurate, it's so gorgeous and more than I could have imagined and keeps my head spinning in excitement well into the night when I should be fast asleep. There's plenty of time for that when I'm older, no rest for the passionate and weary, no faint hearts here. With this view I will take in every moment of it, feed my soul with mountain tops and valleys that come only in dreams. Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to Ladakh.
