Just a few minutes ago Kathmandu experienced another earthquake, officially announced as a 7.4 magnitude, centered around Mt Everest region.

Kathmandu - After the Second Earthquake

Though this is quite a big quake I want to reassure everyone that it felt much smaller here, and everyone is OK. We're hearing reports that around the city structures have fallen but I am unable to give more details at the moment, I can confirm that Sherab Gyaltsen as well as everyone at Shar Minub and Swayambhu are all safe. All the children at SOH are fine and Chogyal Rinpoche is here with us, everyone is safe. Though they are calling it a major earthquake there is no need to panic or start to spread rumours, from what we are hearing this is the end of it and shouldn't be experiencing anything worse for the time being, at least here in Kathmandu. We wish to send all our wishes and prayers to anyone who is hurt or in need of aid, and to the villages and areas that were hit the hardest in the major quake a few weeks ago we are hoping and wishing that everyone is OK as well. I will continue to update as soon as I hear more but for now please be assured that we are all ok.
