The air is filled with incense smoke, the sounds of puja emanate from all sides as drums and horns permeate my mind, following me into my dreams.
The sheer loveliness of this place, mixed with the all pervading energy of Karmapa’s presence - his years spent here as a young man hold great power - it is wonderful to be in the middle of all this. The days pass. I’ve been spending more time focusing on how I shoot, not just what. Exploring and improvising, painting melodies light. Tender hues and flamboyant fiery tones. Getting deeply inspired to a point I haven’t felt in a long time. The colors, the textures and depth, the swirling, twirling, dancing lights that twinkle just so. It’s mesmerizing to me, and it touches my heart deeply.
I don’t know if you all see a difference, but I feel it greatly.
For now I’ll let the photos do the talking, but rest assured, there is more to come.
