After just spending two months there my head is still spinning with it all. I’m finding entire collections of photos I didn’t have the time to finish, stuff that I really love. Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche’s endless activities blowing my mind, left unedited and waiting for me. An evening spent doing long exposures of Bouddha at night, with its twinkling lights and cool glow rippling through space. (That place will live forever in my dreams.) A trip to Namo Buddha with Lodro Rinpoche, spending our day hiking in the pure lushness that is his incredible retreat center. An afternoon at Ani Gompa, up in the hills behind Swayambhu, with its breathtaking view and the wonderful Ani’s who make it so special to me. Like a beautiful dream, and these lucid memories still with me after I wake. Rediscovered. Born again. Lights and dreams flashing through my mind as a continual reminder of that incredible place called Kathmandu, and all that it means to me.
