I am so happy to be back in India, this place makes my heart skip a beat, a side of myself I yearn for all year long is finally released into the wild.
There is electricity in the air, smoke and dust too. No other place in the world like it. And, all of us gathered in the KIBI shrine room, anxiously awaiting the Big Boss’ imminent arrival, is a slice of glory and peace all its own. That’s what makes it so special here, the incredible mix of all things beautiful.
Karmapa is just beyond. I mean beyond anything and everything. He is so unbelievably relaxed, calm and joyous it makes my heart, and surely all other’s, sing with an epiphany of song and joy. Seeing him again after a time is always a bit of a shock, but he’s even more so this time, just more. His kindness is… earth shattering really. The depths to which he is engaged with his students, and with the grace and ease he is able to be so, is something that I will always, (always), find far beyond my comprehension. Beyond imagination. Beyond, beyond, beyond.
Things are just getting started here, and while I could say more, I won’t. I’ll let the photos do the talking instead. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have been enjoying taking them for you.
