I'm already on my way to the airport, working in the car, and it’s just starting to set in that all of this will be gone under my wings in just a couple hours. All that I have come to know as my little revolving world these past few weeks will vanish into memory. What a trip. What a blessing to be able to meet so many wonderful people. To see so many beautiful and wondrous places. To be welcomed so sweetly and honestly into people’s homes and lives like I have been here. I am so touched. I am absolutely coming back, the plan is already in the works, the question is just when, and for how much longer next time as I will need a lot more time to see everything I wanted to this time round. China you have been truly remarkable and I am coming back as soon as I can.
I wish to give a huge thanks to Chogyal Rinpoche who invited me on this great adventure with him, who has shared not only his time and energy with me, but his great natured humor, wit, cheer, and monstrous insatiable joy at all times. He has been exceedingly generous with me. He has taken me along not only as a photographer, but as an equal and a friend, something I will never forget. We have shared the road, we have shared stories and difficulties, and in the end we both have emerged better for it in all ways that are possible. Rinpoche, your Manjushri mantra is still playing softly in my mind as I walk away, and it will stay playing in my heart long after I leave this place. Ringing as a picture perfect memento of this epic journey we have shared, a perfect farewell. Getting to share this time with you, and photograph you, has been such a joy and a pleasure. Rinpoche, thank you so much for everything
