Look at the way Karmapa beams when he looks at his son, how his eyes twinkle bright as stars. Look how they both giggle and shine boldly outwards so full of love for their son that it is beyond anything imaginable. This family is full of love, love, and more love. It’s almost unbearable, so powerful to see it up close. Thugsey is so unbelievably cute, so outrageous to be around, that everyone just loses their minds when he’s there. Eyes like saucers, hands clasped together - from any walk of life - being in his presence is enough to melt anyone as they cry, scream for joy or simply fall to pieces and shake. I see it every time, and there’s no stopping it. He is pure magic. All three of them are. I’m running out of words and superlatives to mark the joy and feelings of family we all share. What this baby means to all of us. This Dharma family is just so full of love that I don’t know what else to say. What began as a simple welcoming ceremony in LeBost for Thugsey became a family gathering, where everyone simply enjoyed the space, almost holding their breath in amazement as Karmapa, Sangyumla and their son, with few words, just sat there and beamed out pure love. It was totally mind-blowing. Love, love and more love.
