I have caught the happiness bug; be it either from the amazing people here - the warmest welcome and most sincerely devoted and kind people I have ever met, the warm sticky air, our Dharma friends from all over the world, or perhaps it is being able to celebrate the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of the Buddha all at once here in Kuala Lumpur with the Karmapa - I can’t decide.
It could also be the bathing of the Buddha ceremony, the feeding, blessing and group Chenrezig practice with over 1500 people, or perhaps even the life release we did this morning with Sang Sang Rinpoche where hundreds of fish, frogs, snakes and even turtles were freed in the spirit of this special day. It may just be the wash of light, flowers and dizzying color coming on with the afternoon heat and humidity - the whole place is just brimming with heart and love - and it is contagiously spreading everywhere I look. Either way, it is such a special day, and I wish to thank you all for being part of it, from wherever you are in the world, today we celebrate as one big, happy, joyous, loving, grandiosely hugging family.
Happy Vesak everyone! @Dharma Family United
