Karmapa’s power, presence, compassion and humility seem to have only grown in time - perhaps a better description would be that they have exploded into hyper drive and left us for the stars. Never before have I seen him take such time with everyone, patiently passing each moment without a flicker of rush until all hours of the day or night. He has gone to such lengths to explain in detail for all to truly understand his words. He stays well past when the scheduled time is up, usually he decides he needs more time to explain further, and then stays on despite the hour. Even at the end of two days of Monlam, after all the flowers had been thrown and everyone thought it was over - on a whim, at close to midnight already, he decides to bless the entire room of 800 plus people just to say thank you. He was majestic. I am still reeling from the pure magnitude of his actions. He was so powerful even at the other side of the room I caught myself feeling almost out of breath, his actions speaking ever louder and louder - seeping into my very self and penetrating my heart. How could it be that he is even more powerful than before? How could it be that his presence seems to have taken a light year’s journey forward and we are all just trying to catch up? These photos are actually from two nights ago and I’m just now getting round to them - I’m struggling to catch up and yet he is upstairs right now, having public audiences with endless compassion and limitless energy. He is a shining example of true Buddha Dharma. He is a living Buddha exemplified by every single moment of his life. The Selfless One knows no bounds, no limits. The Selfless One gives for others with no thought of reward, only to help all sentient beings with every step that he takes.
