Monlam - First We Must Walk Together

Walk with palms clasped together tightly, walk with joy forever in your heart. Walk for miles and miles, crossing valleys and oceans, but never forget from where you’ve come.

Walk upright with head held high, Walk with a gentle spring in your step. Walk with abundant willful happiness, Walk with a warrior’s bare open chest. Walk with guiltless joy and total honesty, Walk with total reckless abandon, Fly through the air, Soar high above the trees. But never forget who you really are.

Never forget the love we have between us, Never forget our humble start. Never forget the bonds that bind us, Never forget the heart.

Now we must first walk this walk together, Our path, our journey, our sacred honor quest beautifully intertwined. We walk the walk of life hands held together tightly, Eyes gleaming brightly, For the bond that binds us most mightily, is Love.
