Monlam 2014 - Days of Preparation

While walking slowly amidst the numerous stupas and shrines, tormas and robes, practitioners and devotees from all corners of the world, I find myself in awe of the simple majesty and beauty of this place. I have always felt that color and light can be felt and heard the way a melody can ring in your ear, the connection between music and imagery is connected and one cannot live without the other.

A clear note echoing in the distance, a golden patch of sun, shimmering marble and brocade balanced against green grass and warm shadows from the leaves and boughs of the Bodhi tree. Such incredible color and light, such wonderful melodies playing through my mind as I wander slowly and peacefully, in the shade of the tree.
