A Birthday Wish for Karmapa

On this most auspicious and joyful day, a simple birthday wish from a student to his teacher: Dearest Karmapa- What could I possibly say to the one who has everything, who knows and sees it all? I wish that your life is long, full, and joyfully rich in all things you could ever desire or wish for.

I wish that your activity and great compassion for us continues to be endless as it has always been. I wish that your strength and bravery would forever continue to be your strongest and most inspirational attributes. I wish that your great humor and expounding joy will always be present and a source of comfort and strength for all. I wish that you will always do what you know to be best for us, and that we will always have great confidence and unshakable trust in you. I wish you everything yet I know that you need nothing. I wish that you will always be here with us, in one way or another, fulfilling your great bodhisattva promise for the benefit of all.

From my meager yet most sincere of hearts I wish you the happiest and most wonderful birthday you could ever have. Thank you for all that you are, for all that you do, and most of all, for all that you will do. You are the Tiger's meekness, the Perky Lion, the Outrageous Garuda, and the most Inscrutable Dragon. For all those who have the great chance of knowing your face or hearing the great reach of your words, the day of your birth is a cause for great, great celebration.

Ki Ki So So, Lha Gyelo! Karmapa Kheyno!! Happy Birthday Karmapa!!!
