A brisk walk on the Charles Bridge, a hike to the top of Petrin Hill and its incredible panoramic view of the city, great friends bundled up in the warmth of family, this is a really beautiful place. I am very touched by the simple and down to earth quality of everything that I have experienced here in these few short days. The people are so kind, gentle, and extremely welcoming. Outside may be cold but there’s a fresh and vibrant energy to walking around in this weather, I feel energized and alive, sprinting around like an overly excitable kid - perhaps it’s because this is my first snow in two decades. Or perhaps this is just a beautiful place, and after spending a great day out in the cold we can come inside where it’s warm, grab a hot cup of tea and some Smažený sýr (amazing fried cheese) and things are just getting started.
Many greetings to you all from snowy Prague - if anyone is in town, I am giving a lecture on my Dharma photography tonight at the DWB center at 9pm, so come out of the cold and join us inside, should be fun!
