One afternoon during our stay in KIBI last month we were blessed with a surprise visit from Mipham Rinpoche, an incredibly touching moment for everyone.

Shamar Rinpoche - Mipham Rinpoche in KIBI

I previously didn't release any photos from this event, seeing Rinpoche for the first time in years, and his first time seeing the Kudung brought tears to my eyes and I just couldn't concentrate.

An incredible flurry of photographers also dissuaded me - I simply wanted to be present - and allow Rinpoche some space to grieve. I did manage to take a few photos and after some time passed I wish to share them with you all - my only hope is that they capture the moment and give all the respect they can to this amazing teacher, and amazing man.

For Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.
