This is Jigme Rinpoche. He is gentle and kind beyond compare, while also being the hidden driving force of leadership in the Kagyu lineage.

The Dharma Studio - Jigme Rinpoche

He is the glue that holds us together, and the heart the keeps us close. He is simply wonderful, and the man directly responsible for the life I have now. My wish has always been to make new portraits of all our great Masters; modern, dynamic, artistic, emotional. Up close and personal. Photos that will be made available to all, for free, for anyone, no questions asked. It is also Jigme Rinpoche’s wish that I do this, and with his blessing and a lot of hard work, travel and preparation this wish has already begun to become a reality. If I am successful, I will be lucky enough to include our whole lineage, from Karmapa all the way down. It will serve as a living, breathing, ever growing personal documentation of our incredible Dharma family. Today, I am thrilled to launch this new project, The Dharma Studio, and whom other to start with than Jigme Rinpoche himself. I was amazed to see that even after all these years, I never knew he had blue in his eyes. I never got close enough to see them in such a way. As this was my very first studio shoot, Rinpoche humbled me deeply with his willingness and patience. Dear Rinpoche, thank you so much for this opportunity, and for your trust. I am honored to make your wish, and mine, a reality.

I present, the first installment in The Dharma Studio: Jigme Rinpoche.
